Our Classes
Pilates focuses on improving posture, core strength, moving with control and pain reduction. At Pink Shrimp, these principles are woven into every class we teach.

Group Reformer classes at Pink Shrimp are designed as a full body challenge to strengthen, increase flexibility and mobility, and to help bring balance and alignment to the body.
Reformer

The beginner's classes will introduce the movement of the apparatus at a slower pace, allowing the clients to develop an understanding of the Pilates principles at an early stage in their journey

Jumpboard
The Jumpboard was a later addition to Pilates. Designed to help dancers with strengthening through dynamic movement, it introduces an element of cardio and light impact into Pilates. This is a fun, challenging workout that targets lower body strength and deep core work.

Matwork
Matwork classes at Pink Shrimp are based on the original Contrology exercises, with an emphasis on the rehabilitative effects that Pilates can have on the body. Understanding how our body responds to movement and identifying stronger and weaker areas in our body allows us to tailor the movements to improve our alignment and posture.

Tower
Traditional Pilates uses a variety of apparatus designed to support the client in their Pilates journey. The Tower classes at Pink Shrimp are designed to enhance a deeper understanding of Pilates movements and principles at different access points, allowing you to ‘feel’ an exercise differently to either the mat or reformer.

Private Sessions
Injuries/personal circumstance can sometimes mean that group classes are not right for an individual. We have great experience at Pink Shrimp in helping you achieve your goals, whether you are at the very start of your journey, suffering from specific pain, or you are an experienced Pilates practitioner looking to fine tune your own practice.
