Meet Halimah
After many years of practicing Pilates and feeling the healing benefits of it in my own body, I started finally started teaching Pilates in 2018, as I enrolled into a fully comprehensive Pilates course at a teacher training facility in Windsor, Powmak Pilates. That was just the start! With a strong emphasis on continued education, I have attended golf and raquet sports workshops and mentoring days with Maria Leone @Bodyline LA, I attend educational events such as Pilates on Tour where possible and I am currently in the middle of a 600 Hour Classical Pilates programme with James Shaw.
I suffered a debilitating back injury in 2012 after my first pregnancy. On a cocktail of painkillers, but refusing the steroid injections suggested by my GP, I walked into my first Pilates class. The sheer strength and freedom of movement displayed by the regular participants in the class was enough to convince me of the benefits of a committed Pilates practice. After 5 years of regular attendance, and being totally pain free for some years (I'd been told this was not likely to ever happen), I felt that I needed to train so I could bring this method to others.
After leaving London and moving to Worcestershire in 2021, I realised that there was a definite need for a specialist Pilates studio in the area. I can't thank the clients enough; the early ones who gave me the love and encouragement to open the first studio in Craycombe, and to all of you who have visited and supported the business ever since; you are responsible for keeping the doors open and making the studio the kindest and supportive place it could be. It is truly a privilege to work here and observe your inspiring Pilates journeys.
Meet Lizzie
A long term client of Pink Shrimp Pilates, Lizzie found that Pilates helped her physical performance with competitive netball and long distance running. Lizzie grew curious about learning more about the Pilates method and completed her qualification in 2025. She then embarked on a intensive in house programme which allowed her to gain a deeper understanding of the Pilates apparatus and exercises. She has built a loyal base of local clients who come for her challenging work outs and infectious energy.
In the short time that Lizzie has been teaching, she has attended various workshops with Internationally renowned Pilates teachers and is always interested in gaining experience and spending time and effort in developing her own practice.
